    Dogan Demircioglu, PH.D

    Dr. Dogan Demircioglu studied Biology at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen/Germany and completed his PhD in Infection Biology at the Interfaculty Institute of Microbiology and Infection Medicine at the department of Microbial Genetics (under supervision of Prof. Friedrich Götz), investigating the molecular impact of bacterial cell walls (peptidoglycan) on food allergies and inflammatory bowel diseases. He has many years of experience in various microbiological, immunological, as well as cell culture techniques and is an expert in pyrogen detection. He now works as a Business Development Manager being responsible for pyrogen detection technologies at bioMerieux and as a lecturer for Pharmacology, Toxicology and Infection Biology at the Reutlingen University. He speaks German, Turkish and English fluently.

    Syeda Tasneem Towhid, PH.D

    PhD from Institute of Physiology, Eberhard Karls Universitaet Tuebingen, Germany in 2012 and worked as a post-doc fellow in Dept. of Civil Engineering, University of Ottawa on environmental surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 during the COVID-19 pandemic (2021-2022).

    She is currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Microbiology, Jagannath University, Bangladesh. She was employed as research investigator in the International Center for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh between 2013-2015.Her major publications focus on platelet biology, cancers and quantitation of SARS-CoV-2 and its variants from wastewater. She is also interested in spread and control drug-resistant pathogens in hospital settings.

    Dr. Towhid is a member of Bangladesh Society of Microbiologists and Dhaka University Microbiology Alumni Association- North America.

    Katja Merches, PH.D.

    As biologist and immunologist Dr. Katja Merches performed research in the field of immune toxicology at the Leibniz Institute of Environmental Medicine in Düsseldorf, Germany, and cardiac toxicology at the university of Würzburg, Germany. Now she implements her interdisciplinary experience in the field of toxicological risk assessment at the Bavarian Health and Food Safety Authority in Erlangen, Germany.

    Bazbek Davletov, Ph.D.

    Co-founder and President of Neuresta.

    Dr. Bazbek Davletov is a master mind of molecular engineering. His innovative work spanning three decades, vision, and commitment to finding cures for chronic pain are foundational to Neuresta. Dr. Davletov received a M.Sc. in biochemistry from Moscow State University and Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. While in Dallas, he studied the mechanisms of synaptic neurotransmitter release in the laboratory of Dr. Thomas C. Südhof, a renowned neuroscientist who was awarded the 2013 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Dr. Davletov has been directing independent research programs focused on biology and therapeutic applications of neurotoxins since 1995. He was a Welcome Trust Fellow at the Imperial College London and, subsequently, a leader of the Medical Research Council program in Cambridge. In 2012, he became the Chair of Biomedical Science at the University of Sheffield. Dr. Davletov spearheaded productive international collaborations with academic scientists and large pharmaceutical companies. He published over 100 manuscripts in prestigious biomedical journals and delivered lectures across North America, Europe, and Asia.
